Upcoming Shows #

I’m making my glorious return to Muncie on October 23rd. I’ll be playing on Ball State’s campus. More details to come soon!

Hardware Work #

Way back in like April, I mentioned I was working on a little 1U Mid Side processor and I'm happy to report I finally got my shit together and racked it up. It works like a dream, and as I had hoped, running bandpassed outputs from Mannequins Three Sisters into the mid and side inputs results in weird phasey outputs that are precisely what I (and maybe you?) are after.

My current ambition is wrap up a desktop preamp for Eurorack purposes. I want a more flexible way of grabbing signals from a stereo pair of microphones and feeding a clean copy to a mixer and routing an amplified copy to my case. Obviously, I could get it done with modules in a little pod case, but I’m a sicko for designing power supplies, so here I am. It’ll have big old bipolar 15V rails for headroom, and a super quiet phantom power rail.

Music Work #

Another big thing I’m chugging away on lately is editing an album for my collaboration with my good friend Harlan Kelly in Squirming. We got together almost two years ago and recorded a mountain of material–almost 8 hours. I’ve been dragging my feet ever since to edit that down and turn it into something and get it out there. I’m about 2/3rds of the way through and I’m really excited. It bridges the gap between the free-associative noise piles Harlan and I have always made with each other and a more focused, narrative push. At least in my opinion that’s what it does. You can judge freely.
